In the first coffee of the year, we had the pleasure of chatting with our friend Michele Fracó Fuentes, co-founder of OGUM BOX Benalmádena.

OGUM BOX is a sports project created by Michele Frescó Fuentes and her husband, focused on functional training and personal development through a supportive community. Inspired by their passion for sport and African culture, the center seeks to offer people of all ages a place to prioritize their physical and mental health, especially after the challenges of the pandemic. The name “OGUM BOX” comes from African culture and is symbolized by a mask that represents strength and resilience, which reflects the founders’ values and the purpose beyond exercise.
In her approach, Michele highlights the solidarity initiative “Somos Box Solidarios” (We Are Solidarity Box), which mobilizes the community to collect food and goods for soup kitchens, animal protection associations, and other local causes. This effort has been very successful, involving center users and the community in activities that make a difference.
The center is open every day with extended hours, providing opportunities for both those who wish to train and those who wish to support the solidarity causes promoted by OGUM BOX.
