This month, in our “A Coffee with” section, we had the pleasure of chatting with Germán Bernal, the soul behind Planeta Explora, a scientific outreach center with a completely different approach.
With a history dating back 20 years in Benalmádena, this project has evolved into a benchmark in scientific education and entertainment. Today, Planeta Explora is based in Puerto Marina, but its impact goes much further: they have franchised their innovative concept and are now present in several countries.
Their goal is to bring science closer in an interactive and exciting way, for both children and adults. During our chat, Germán told us about the project’s beginnings, the challenges they have overcome, and how they have managed to expand without losing their essence.
Furthermore, he shared some of the most surprising activities they offer and how science can be a powerful tool to spark curiosity and learning at any age.
